He now swears that the goods which are valued in the schedule at $4,000, were in fact worth but $400, and the debts which are set down at $2,500, only amounted to $300 or $400 that were collectable, and yet this extraordinary contrast is sworn to by this witness, for the purpose of convicting Burlingame of fraud in making out the schedule ; and still he swears that he believed at the time that the schedule contained the truth!
